Q: Router partially disconnects computer

Ok so I have a Mac running Mavericks and I will be playing minecraft or browsing the internet or something while skypeing and I believe its my router will let me uses the internet for a while then after maybe a couple hours of using it will say that I am still connected and still lets me use Skype but when I try to access a website it won't work or use something else that requires the internet. A restart usually fixes the problem but its getting kind of annoying
