Years ago when I bought a mac mini an email account was created for me with the "mac.com" domain. I used that email as my applie ID and now I no longer use that account and want to change my appleid to an email I use daily. I cannot change my apple id though becuase I need to send a verification email to may mac.com address -- which with the shift to MobleMe and iCloud I cannot figure out how to get to? Is there anyway to access mac.com email?

Apple IDs that end in mac.com can not be changed. See this article -

Specifically -
You can change the address of any Apple ID, except an Apple ID that ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com.

I still use the mac.com -- through EMAIL on the mac -- I have it set to delete off the service on download & to not keep on send -- as at some point the connection was removed from Safari.

Are you talking about iCloud e-mail? Is the account set up in Mail? Are you using your yahoo e-mail address or your mac.com e-mail address?
