Anyone else having a problem in regards to compatibility with Sky and Mac OS X (10.6.8)?

For about the last two weeks, my Macbook has crashed everytime I am connected to the internet through my sky router. The whole computer seemingly has a meltdown when I turn it on and I have to forcibly shut it down by holding the power button. After going in to an Apple affiliated store and it working perfectly, they told me that some other people had had the same problem with sky routers but I can't find anything about it online. I was just wondering if anyone knows of an update from Apple to sort this out?
