Tunes 11.3.1.2 and Apple TV connection issues

I installed iTunes 11.3.1.2 and now the connection with my Apple TV, second generation, isn't working properly. It plays one or two songs; sometimes it stops midsong. Then I get an error message that "An error occurred loading this content". This was working fine before the latest update. Any ideas?


ITunes is running on a Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 SP1, with the fixes that were released this past week (8/14/14)

If you are having connectivity or playback issues with content on your Apple TV after a recent iTunes update, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful. In particular, if you are connecting wirelessly you may want to try connecting via Ethernet (if possible) to rule out the possibility of a network issue.
