You really need to take a Mac 101 class or the online tutorials
How to drag depends on your computer and the preferences you have set - the most basic way it to click and hold and drag with your mouse or trackpad - a track pad may require a three finger drag depending on your settings

Wish I could...I live in Belgium and 101 class just don't exist in Belgium!!
Now I have a MackBook Air, bought in the States and coming from a PC. I am using a mouse, but if I click on the album and drag it has a very long way to go to get the specific folder open... I tried and this is why I asked for help because I can't go into the subfile of the folder! Thanks anyway!

Are you asking about folders in the album section of your iPhoto library?
To shorten the way to drag the album, close all folders. Make sure, you have clicked all disclosure triangles besides the folders, to close them.
If there are too many folders in your library, create enclosing folders and move your as subfolders to these enclosing folders. This way you can collapse large parts of your library at once and shorten the path for dragging.
By "folder" I mean the folders that are in "Documents"... not in the Iphoto library. Thank you for trying to help me Léonie; Evelyne
Then you export the photos from iPhoto:
File -> Export
This User Tip

has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!🙂
