Boot camp

I have partitioned my Imac and have apple one side and Windows the other using Paralles but in having both programmes running at the same time I find that this slows down the computer. I have been advised just to have windows via boot camp. My question, if I go just to boot camp do I have to uninstall windows and office or will it already be there and I just come in via another avenue
