Hi guys, does any one else have a strange whining/electronic interference sound coming from there ssd in the new macbook pro retina when the ssd it being used or accessed? 😕

An SSD should be silent. I would be more inclined to believe that is an internal fan that is the source of the moise. At any rate, an appointment at an Apple store genius bar is the best option. The evaluation will be FREE.

The SSD noise is quiet and is rarely noticeable, it definitely does not sound like fans but more of a weird electronic interference 😮
I would run an Apple Hardware Teat and/or make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Have the technicians examine your rMBP for FREE.

I have/had the same issue on my new MBP 13" (late 2013). I took it to the Apple store and they ran the hardware test. Everything checked out fine.
Now about a week later the noise seems to have abated.
It sounded like electronic interference coming from under the centre of the keyboard. It's like an electrical short, almost a morse-code like buzzing (very faint).
At the same time I noticed the noise I also experienced a faulty power adaptor, so you may want to check yours as well. My adaptor started making a high pitching squealing sound. Apple replaced it for me.
I have the same issue on my brand new 2015 MacBook Pro 15" which has a 1TB SSD upgrade. Did you end up getting it replaced? What did Apple say? Or did you just live with the noise?
It's certainly not hugely noticeable unless you're in a quiet room but it doesn't feel like it should be making this sound.
Are you saying the electronic buzzing sound eventually just went away never to return? I ran the diagnostics test and it reported no issue but the buzzing is prevalent when the SSD is being accessed.
