ipod shuffle 3 doesnt controlled by earpods

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, the Apple EarPods are not compatible with the iPod shuffle (3rd generation):

This headset isn't compatible with the iPod shuffle (3rd generation) because the playback and volume controls aren't supported.
