Q: New windows keep popping up in Safari

I have turned off Extensions and Blocked Pop Ups but windows keep popping up in the back with ads for the past week?

What else can I do to stop these?

Pesky pop-unders! Since I am on a vintage Pismo, there will be many here that may have better advice for your system and Safari version.

I use Firefox with and add-on that doesn't exist for Safari - but there are reports of others for Safari that I cannot recommend, only point you to.

AdBlockPlus may not be supported in your Safari version, so I won't even link to it.

GlimmerBlocker seems popular and appears safe as it doesn't really alter Safari at all, but uses a proxy server

You will find lots of results by Google-ing " safari pop-under " - stay away from Softonic, etc. download sites though. Good practice to download from the developer's website only.

You'll find something I'm sure. If not, give Firefox a try.
