network and wi-fi problems HELP NEEDED!

my macbook pro when i turn it on it's automaticly connected to my wi-fi network in my house and it will stay connected some times just 30mins or an hour and even sometimes for a few hours and it don't turn off or on when you click the button it jus stays the faded color and it just don't pick up or show any networks and the on and off button don't work whenever you press it and if i go somewhere besides my house it auto joins/shows networks new and ones i connected to in the past and it stays connected the whole time im at that location any kind of help would a big help
