I have a mac 10.6.8 that recently stopped going to sleep. When the screen is down it is still awake and the optical drive is making random noises. Could really use the help thanks.

I've tried all of these but nothing seams to match up i think it might be my key board because it recently stopped fully working about the same time it stopped sleeping.
there is one thing thow, when i use terminal it dose show USB1 but i don't know what this means?
