iphone only sending 10 second voice messages in apps?

Hello,

I have tried searching the internet of course; but only turned up a bunch of people having the same problem as me but no solution.

I have an iphone 5s and for some reason when I use any App that allows me to send voice messages it stops recording and sends it at 10 seconds.

This happens for Whatsapp, Telegram, Wechat, etc...

Anyone know why its only allowing me to send 10 second messages? This is not a problem on my iPhone 5 and has never been before until recently.

Any suggestions or help from someone who fixed this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve found a solution to my problem with voice notes only being recorded for 10 secs or less. What I simply did was touch and hold the mic icon in whatsapp, while at the same time moving my finger in circular motion, but with it remain placed on the mic icon. I hope this helps because it was all due to my tempered glass basically.

It is not a problem with the app. It is a problem with iOS or the Phone. The App developers have all told me the same.

I also have the same problem with my iPhone 5c. My sister who has the same phone as well.

I decided to e-mail Whatsapp support. Maybe they know how to resolve this.

Its not the app. It's ios. I have the same issue which occurs in both whatsapp and iMessage from Apple. Both cut off and send at ten seconds. This happened on my 4S and now my iPhone 6.

It's happening to me as well? in my case, it's a lil bit of a random...but it often stops at 9 sec...

Anybody has a solution to his?

I have a glass cover and this problem. Moving my finger continuously instead of keeping it still solved the problem. Thanks contributors.

If you've got a screen protector on, try removing it and it should work.

Rebooting certainly doesn't work in my case. I shut the phone off every night, to no avail.

Reboot did not help, and I don't have a screen protector (can't imagine what difference that would make anyway)
