Q: iphone only sending 10 second voice messages in apps?

Hello,

I have tried searching the internet of course; but only turned up a bunch of people having the same problem as me but no solution.

I have an iphone 5s and for some reason when I use any App that allows me to send voice messages it stops recording and sends it at 10 seconds.

This happens for Whatsapp, Telegram, Wechat, etc...

Anyone know why its only allowing me to send 10 second messages? This is not a problem on my iPhone 5 and has never been before until recently.

Any suggestions or help from someone who fixed this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

I'm having the same issue on my phone.  I have an iPhone 5S and when I try to send voice recordings, it's stopping at 5 seconds.  I have also experienced issues with the grey bar randomly blocking the area where you type text into while in a text message.

    HI

THank you for that advice,it worked and I recorded 31 seconds and me who stopped not the app, it worked by turning slightly around on the top of the mic icon, like I am giving the mic icon a massage lol, I don't know if it is only because of the screen protector,I hope if someone has no screen protector and try to let us know if the same thing happened or not.

My question now is:if this problem only because of the screen protector,is there a specific screen that works perfect as it is not there? If not, what should we do while we need screen protectors? Is it from iphone sensor that it is not strong enough with screen protector?

    regards

I used one of the tips!! Press the mic icon, moved my thumb slightly left, a wave graph displays and a speech bubble send icon above that, as soon as it came up thumb removed and recording goes on until send icon pressed, must be some form of time out????? Worked for me, thanks and by the way, I have a toughened glass screen fitted as well as a case with built in screen protector, ie two surfaces in front of proper touch screen

    HI

    - the problem came from the screen protector.

**  try this solution..rise up the keyboard and then use the recording bottom.

-*-   Don't use the recording  bottom when the keyboard is down .

I Hope it's work with you guys.

Found this online with a lot of replies that said it worked:

(1)Hold down on the record mic.

(2)As you are recording, slide the mic slightly left to the middle, back and forward and it will record as long as you want.

(3)Too far to the left will delete the message and trash it.

Just hold the mic icon and move the finger once in three second slightly and it will solve the problem.
