10.1.3 update "backup" mess

I upgraded to v10.1.3 yesterday, and it will not seem to quit the backup process. Currently I have one library open, with maybe 100 or so clips, none more than 1min long. And fcpx has literally been running the backup process for hours (0 to 100%, 0 to 100%, etc over and over every second).

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is the only way to avoid it to turn the backup function off in the project settings?

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. I've also been having the issue of audio randomly dropping out on playback (though it's perfectly intact on export).

And thanks James, that was a good idea and I filled that out. I'm still new to these forums and not well-versed on where everything is, so thanks for suggesting that as well as sending the link as it was very helpful.

Hopefully they will do something about this on a new release.

Same.

Good news is that a few hours after I filled out the feedback form (pointed out to me by James up above) someone from the Apple Pro Apps division contacted me about this issue asking for more information. So hopefully (maybe) something will come from this.

Also, I've found that occasionally my audio will drop out for a few seconds upon playback in FCPX, yet is fully intact in the exported file. Any come across that issue, too?

I have a new inifinite loop problem.

If I decide to copy my project on another drive, I have to link back all the files in it. Usually, it can be a little long if the project is big, but it's a very simple task. I'm used to it.

But now, if I want to link more than around 200 files in a row, the check-up process of files compatibility fall into an infinite loop. It won't stop to the 200 files, it will continue up to 15000 or 20000... until it stops and freeze.

Very strange bug ! Never had this one before.

I have the same problem. Really frustrating on when your working on a 6 hour docu.!

This a work around I got from fcp.co site:

When you click on the Library in the event browser, in the inspection "library properties" window you have a "modify settings" button that leads to the last image on this page, where you choose to store your backups. Default is "Final Cut Backups" which is a folder that FCP X created and resides in the user's home>movies folder.
