Q: airport disconnects

Hi,

I'm on a mid 2010 white Macbook with Mac OSX 10.6.8 and processor 2.4 GHz with 2 GB memory.

Recently, as I've been on the web, my Airport will disconnect randomly, and turn off. I will try to reconnect it through Network Preferences, but it won't turn on. I have to reboot the machine, and even then, it often won't connect. So far, every time I've tried to reset PRAM, Airport will work temporarily before shutting off and then I have to go through the process again. I've tried also to delete and re-make Airport, and it doesn't seem to help. I'm out of warranty and even calling to talk to someone at Apple would cost me money, so I was just wondering if anyone here knew or could guess at the problem or offer any solutions.
