Haven't used my A1136 iPod in some time. Can't remember how to shut it off? Where

I have a 7 year old iPod A1136. Haven't used it in a few years. Decided to buy some tunes at iTunes last night. No problem there. My problem is that I'm having a hard time turning the iPod o OFF. Where/what exactly to I push on the front circle to turn it off.

Hi kathleenfromblandburg,

If you are looking to turn off your older iPod, you may find this portion of the following article helpful:

In order to save battery power, turn off iPod by pressing the Play/Pause button for a few seconds. Setting the Hold switch to Hold locks the buttons so they can't be accidentally pressed.
