Q: windows, itunes contacts sync

I'm trying to sync my iPhone contacts with windows contacts using iTunes. I keep getting the message "iTunes could not sync contacts with iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone." Internet connection is on. They used to sync before and one day they just stopped syncing. Any help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

I know it can be very frustrating when you are having issues syncing contacts. In your situation I would recommend using the attached article for troubleshooting this situation.
