WHAT IS MEMORY LIMIT ON A MACBOOK PRO?

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO UPGRADE MY MACBOOK PRO TO THE MAXIMUM MEMORY CAPACITY. I CAN NOT SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING ABOVE 16GB RAMS. IS THERE A WAY TO GET MORE THAN THAT OR IS 16GB THE MAXIMUM?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), iOS 7.1.2

Hi there...

I have a macbook pro 13" early 2011 2.7 intel core with 8gb of ram... In your opinion is it worth it for me to upgrade to 16gb of memory? I get the spinning wheel of death when using iphoto and final cut pro X a lot. My main reason for asking is the fact that my macbook is now 3 years old.. Will upgrading help me? Thanks for your input!

Maybe. How often does the OSX use more than 8 GB RAM. If the RAM is not fully utilized, additional RAM will not help. Do 'Page outs' exceed 10% of 'Page Ins' (Activity Monitor). If not, then additional RAM will probably not help.

There could be other reasons why your MBP is not happy with iPhoto or FCPX. You might post in those respective forums.

Ciao.
