I don't seem to have Launchpad on this machine, how do I install it?

A default OS X 10.9.4 installation will put the Launchpad icon in the left end of the Dock to the right of the Finder icon. If it is not there, it has been manually removed. If it is not in /Applications, you will need to find someone else with OS X 10.9.4, copy the Launchpad application to a USB stick, and put back in your /Applications folder. Failing that, it is a reinstallation of OS X to get it back.
