I am looking to purchase a product from the refurbished section, however wanted further assistance to whether student discount can be applied .
Normally it isonnewcomputers, but try and see what the response is. The worst that can happen is that they say no.

I agree with Ralph Landry1, you're best bet is to give it a try. This pathway seems to indicate that there IS educational pricing on refurbs

This page is firmly in the Education section "/us-hed/" and deals only with refurbs & clearance <- EDIT to be completely thorough there's a bunch more the actual title of the page

The prices on the page which Chitlins CC linked with show the same prices as not entering through the Education Store. I did call Chat with a similar question about discounts on Apple TVs and was told the refurbished and clearance items were already discounted and no additional discount could be taken.
