Why is the mac version of Open GL not up to date with the latest version?
I own a 15 inch MacBookPro9,1 Mid 2012 . It has a dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M) that can handle Open GL 4.4 according to NVIDIA s website: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gt-650m/specifications
however according to apple the Open GL driver in Mavericks is only 4.1 I am just wondering why a Open GL version from 2010 is shipped into a 2013 OS X?
