OK. Now what? Whoever stole my Macbook Pro on 1 August 2014 connected to the internet on 21 August at 12:11 PM according to an email message I received from Apple at 21:11 ... but no location was listed for the stolen Macbook. I thought that Find my iPhone etc would list the location. So did the police. When I did the police report of the theft they said to notify them as soon as I received the message from Apple with the location of the stolen Macbook Pro. Obviously without the location the information from Apple is useless them them I (and to me). Is there anyway I can have this information QUICKLY? My Macbook Pro is model A1278, serial number C02HNGSEDTY3.

Perhaps someone was able to boot the computer from an external

drive or other device and erase it before going online, or disable

the service from reporting a location.

You should call Apple directly as you will unfortunately not be talking

to them as a result of posting in these discussion forums online...

Most participants of these Apple Support Communities are end users

who volunteer time and effort, to varying degrees of success, to help

(without compensation or expectation, without representing Apple) as

best as possible. And some of us have more time than others to learn

of new things and use later or more recent technologies from Apple...

So while I understand the situation and sympathize with your plight,

there is little to nothing from here that is likely to help resolve the

issue of lost products & trouble in locating them; especially if it

may already be hacked or somehow the Find My Mac disabled.

What To Do If Your iDevice or Computer Is Lost or Stolen

Contact Apple:

You may already have done the equivalent of this: (site may be un-secure, btw)

Others may be able to post additional information or links to Apple

Support articles, or the main contact Apple page link (on site)

where phone numbers are located. I don't have it bookmarked.

Good luck & happy computing! 😐
