Trying to run BT broadband speed checker It keeps telling me Flash is not stalled It is and I have disabled Ad-block, click to Flash etc and restarted...

Using Safari ?
If so, from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Make sue: Allow Plug-ins is selected.

Does Flash work on other websites, such as YouTube?

yes youtube running flash videos ok so...
In the Security tab of the Safari preferences window, click Manage Website Settings, then select Adobe Flash Player. Are any websites listed on the right? What is showing in the menu below?
so this is the actual error message I get from BT BB speedtester

You need Flash installed in order to use this speed tester. Please click below to install. Once you have installed Flash, please return to BT.com and restart the speed test.
If you are using flash-blocking software (for example, ad blocking software), you will need to disable this before you can use the speed tester.

About 6 or 7 sites listed included the relevant open ones BT etc and all set to Allow
You've set up Safari to allow Flash to work only on specific sites. Embedded Flash content, which is hosted on a different site, will be blocked.
sorry but should have added that at bottom right of list of presently allowed websites the default for any other www visited is Allow If this doesn't allow embedded content on another site to run Flash how do i?

Please delete all the sites listed as allowed for Flash and test. Can you still load Flash content on other sites?
