Aug 22, 2014 10:54 AM in response to amrut26by David Shanahan,FIrst thing - Don't post your phone number (or other private information) here, this is a public forum for Apple users to help other Apple users, it is not monitored by Apple support staff.
Second thing - Check the status bar at top of your iPad screen, next to the battery level indicator is there an icon of a padlock with a circular arrow surrounding it? If so the iPad has been locked into its current screen orientation, to unlock it slide the switch on the right-hand side of the case above the volume rocker switch up and see if the padlock icon disappears and the screen now rotates correctly (for this to work Settings/General/USE SIDE SWITCH TO: should have "Lock Rotation" checked, if "Mute" is checked instead then use the padlock icon in Control Center to lock/unlock screen rotation).
If it still won't rotate the screen then try resetting the iPad - hold down the sleep/wake button and the Home button simultaneously and keep them held until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen, then release the two buttons and allow the iPad to finish rebooting normally. Does screen rotation now work?

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Panel and tap the Lock icon to turn off Rotation Lock.
