My app disappeared and I want to delete it!

I Downloaded the app 'Snapchat' and the minute it downloaded, it disappeared! I went into the appstore and it said 'open' as if I had it on my screen but when I click that, nothing happens.. How do I delete the app and get it again because its not on my homescreen?
