shutdownStall issues

So I'm having issues with the computer not waking up in the morning. I guess it goes into a deep sleep of some sort and I have to hold the power button twice to turn it on, and get greeted with a computer experienced a problem message on login.

The most recent log in the system diagnostics is titled:

aosnotifyd,diskarbitrationd_2014-08-21-184310_MacBook-Pro.shutdownStall

And the brief details are:

And I also ran a diagnostic report, hopefully someone can explain to me a bit better what to look for/read when it comes to reading the kernel panics for a Mac OS, since it's not making a lot of sense, but I'm busy with work and not able to call Apple support (fairly new laptop, only had it for 10 days, but managed to break it apparently)

Please read this whole message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.

Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.

Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.

The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.

Test while in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Do you know how long the Mac takes to normally go into its deepest sleep state? Or if there's a way to force it early. Otherwise I'll just reboot into safe mode before I go to bed, and then see how it goes in the morning. It happened again in the couple hours between the time I left work and opened it up tonight, but there was no error report on login nor was there any new event logged.

Found a terminal command that forces my macbook to go into hibernate directly from sleep instead of having to wait. Confirmed that the same issue occurred even while in safe mode.

Normal startup afterwards, also same issue. Macbook doesn't wake after going into hibernate. Below is the most recent error message:

Take all the applicable steps in this support article. Please read the whole article carefully (some of it is hidden by disclosure triangles) and don't skip any of the steps, including the ones under the heading "Additional troubleshooting." If you don't understand any of the steps, ask for guidance.

If you do everything in the article and there's no change, then you're dealing with an internal hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

Resetting the SMC the first time didn't seem to do anything, but resetting the PRAM caused it to only boot in recovery mode. I could still hold down the option key and boot directly into OS X or windows that way, but something was messed up with the booting. Resetting the SMC once more brought the boot back to OS X default, but it still wouldn't wake from sleep.

Having reset the energy saver options and unchecking Put hard disks to sleep when possible (I only have an SSD in the macbook, so according to what I read that option doesn't do anything unless I hook up an external drive), it now wakes up fine from sleep.
