Apple Color changing Frame Rate

I am working with 2048 x 1152 Apple ProRes 4444 footage recorded at 29.97 shot with an Arri Alexa M. I am editing in FCP7 then grading in Apple Color, but all my color files are coming back 30fps. Does anyone know why this is happening? and how can I make it stop?
