email on Iphone

I recently changed my password for my Gmail account as it had been hacked. I am able to access my email from Internet Explorer, however my IPhone 5S wont accept my new password. I have deleted the account and recreated it and also set up it using advanced setting. When I go in to the mail app, it tells me my password is wrong. What else can I do to fix this? Thank you!
