so I just got a new macbook and I was trying to transfer my iTunes library from my old desktop to the macbook via an external hard drive, to keep all my play counts and everything, but for some reason whenever I opened itunes on my macbook it had songs that I used to have, and no longer have, instead of the music that I currently have. what do I do to fix this?

You may need to hold shift on your keyboard and choose the library on the external hard drive.
