does the ipod touch 2nd gen have 3.o bluetooth

It has no BlueTooth according to its specs. That was added in the next generation and was BT 2.1.

Strange. I usually find everymac to be reliable, but Apple's KB shows:

iPod touch (3rd generation) - Technical Specifications

iPod touch (2nd generation) - Technical Specifications

The 2G always had the BT hardware but it was first activated by the iOS 3 update

I think you just showed me yesterday (on another topic -- iCloud for Windows Vista) that Apple's support documents aren't always reliable 🙂

Originally the BT was not activated on the 2G iPod. It took the iOS 3 update to activate it. Thus, the original specs fir the 2G are correct in that witt the original iOS version it did not have BT.

I just went to http://ssl.apple.com/support/feedback, and suggested that they update the article.
