I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I need to tether into my Macbook Pro. How can I do that?

I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I need to tether into my Macbook Pro. How can I do that? I updated my iPhoto to recongize my camera, it does. When connected I see it in the USB utlitiy. But my MacBook Pro says "no camera found." What do I need to do to fix this problem?

I'm not familiar with the camera, but there may be setting needed in order for the camera to transfer directly to the computer. Check through the camera's manual.

I was fooling around with Lightroom and it has a tethering option. I tried it and it worked. But I am still reading my camera manual as you recommeded.
