iPhoneIt can probably be upgraded to Lion, though: http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion. The requirements are listed on that page.

Aug 24, 2014 2:45 PM in response to Boysenberriesmomby Eric Root,Based on my experience, one option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install Lion, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything.
Check to make sure your applications are compatible. By doing this, if you don't like it you won't have to go though the revert process.
