ApplicationsHi,
Try restarting the Mac holding down CMD+ALT+P+R keys altogether until you have heard a total of three Start up "bongs".
This is a PRAM/NVRAM reset.
If that does not work try a Safe Boot and see if your account works then.
If it does reboot the computer for a normal Start up.
