Can I rent a movie on iTunes and watch it on my MPB, and then have my folks watch it on their MBP?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), iOS 7.0.6, I don't have an Apple TV.

Hey Gnome of Zurich,

Thanks for the question. Content rentals are only available on one device at a time. Transferring content that was rented on your computer to another computer is not supported (DRM protected content). However, you can transfer the rental from your computer to other compatible devices:

FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store

Watch your movie on the device you used to rent it. If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation). To do this, connect the devices and sync using USB. When you move a rented movie from your computer, it will disappear from your computer’s iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as much as you want, but you can only have it on one device at a time.
