Is it safe to paint nail polish on the adapter part of the iPhone charger?

My daughter painted a stripe around hers to help her identify the one for her phone versus her iPad. It has had no affect on the charger or the device. While I agree with TJBUSMC1973, that covering it completely could lead to an issue, such as I describe does not seem to pose a problem.

Don't get any near the prongs or the USB input. Should be okay, but... YMMV.

I wouldn't do it. I'd be concerned about creating a heat barrier that could get the adapter to overheat and get damaged. But I can't find anything that Apple has posted that specifically prohibits this.

There is nothing against it to my personal knowledge BUT I would suggest maybe buying a sparkly iPhone charging cable from an authorized store or the Apple Online Store. 🙂

But I've painted the keys on my keyboard before so it's up to you.

I do not know if it is save but I would suggest you leave the adapter as is.
