Apple devices falling off network since changing to a new Apple Airport Extreme instead of my Linksus

Frustrated with having Apple devices drop off my network since changing to a new Apple Airport Extreme. My iphone4 in particular has the most difficulty with the network. I have tried restarting the Airport device, turning off and restarting my phone neither have helped the problem.

I feel like the though of changing to an Apple product instead to help with connectivity since I have all Apple devices in my house (iPads, iPhones, Macbook Air, MacBook, and Apple TV) that I was helping myself, but my 6 year old Linksys rarely gave me difficulty, so perhaps I made a poor upgrade decision.

Any solutions? Suggestions?
