Bridging with AirPrint

Apple.s "About Airprint" page says:

"To use your AirPrint printer with Wi-Fi, the printer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device or Mac, either through bridging, or a direct connection to your Wi-Fi network."

What is "bridging", and how would I use it?

This capability would be nice to use when I am away from my home wifi network. I'm inferring that this "bridging" is (an indirect connection to my own network?

iOS 7.1.2

If you had two or more Apple AirPort routers both delivering the same wireless signal on your network, the routers would be "bridging".

If you do not have two or more Apple AirPort routers both delivering the same wireless signal, you would do well to simply erase the phrase "either through bridging" , as it would not apply to your network.

Translation......the printer and all of your wireless devices need to be connected to the same wireless network.
