How do I filter checkboxes in Numbers on my iMac

Hi,

I'm in the early stages of changing from MS Excel ==> Excel for Mac ==> Numbers.

I love the checkbox format but can't seem to configure my spreadsheet to filter columns with checkbox format. How do I do this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks SharonZ,

My problem arose due to FALSE only showing in the Menu. No checkboxes ticked so of course TRUE didn't show up and nothing happened when I selected FALSE. Problem solved.

While we are on this subject, is Numbers 3.2 capable of filtering cells with different background shading like in Excel. I'm not trying to bag Numbers, I prefer it due to icloud facility.

Hmm... I don't see any way you could do that. The filtering rules are restricted to the categories Number/Text/Date/Duration/Blank, so no possibility there, and there aren't any functions that refer to cell formatting, so I don't see any sneaky way of doing a calculation someplace in a hidden column, say, that looks at cell formatting and stores some clue. Unless your cells have different background shading based on their content so that you could test that content some way, and then filter on that, I think you're stuck.
