Aug 25, 2014 1:09 PM in response to stevedoreby Tesserax,★HelpfulI would like to be able to allow my other computer , a windows 7 to be able to " talk to my Macbook pro" and vice versa.
Not exactly sure what you mean by "talk to" but I am assuming that you would like for each of your computers to be able to share resources with each other. In order to do so, as a minimum they will both need to be "connected" to each other. The most common method is to use a local network, either wired or wireless to provide the means for these devices to communicate with each other.
You are not limited to networking products provided by Apple. Just about any manufacturer's devices will do. However, you may find that the Apple AirPort routers are the simplest to set up and operate.
To get an idea on what is involved, please check out this Apple Support article. You may also find this MacWorld article helpful as well.
I would also like to play my I Tunes through my Bose via smart tv.
You can stream iTunes from your Mac or PC to an Apple TV or AirPort Express that, in turn, would be connected to your Smart TV.
