I connected a VGA monitor via a VGA>mini DisplayPort adapter (from Best Buy) and I cannot get anything to display on the monitor? I even tried rebooting the Xserve. Any ideas as what might be the issue? Nothing is flashing on the System Identifier lights.

For issues with no video, the article below can help continue your troubleshooting. I would try resetting the NVRAM and SMC as well as starting up in Safe Mode. Some other things to try is different cables for the display or try the adapter on another Mac.
