Q: After install 10.6 epson scanner 4490 wont work

Hi, I recently installed 10.6.8 on my Santa Rosa macbook ( is was running 10.5) now my Epson 4490 scanner will not open the scanner software, such as "digital Ice", ect. I have reloaded the software from the Epson DVD and still have no luck? It worked fine with Leopard installed....

You may have better luck scanning using the Image Capture app located in your Applications folder rather than the Epson software.

Mac Basics: Using a scanner

According to the Epson website, v10.6 is not supported.
