Q: Syncing video & audio in iMovie 10.0.5 using Macbook Pro

In iMovie 10.0.5 I am creating a project using live footage of a band, but want to use different audio of the same song. I know how to add the new audio into the project but I am having a hard time trying to sync the video with the new audio. I have been trying to match the waveforms up, but it's still ever so slightly out. Is there an easy way to do this or do I just have to preserve?


I am running a Macbook Pro OS X Mavericks 10.9.4


Any suggestions greatly appreciated

One thing you can do is either slow or speed up the video to try and match the audio up. Check out the article below for more information on the steps to do that.
