How can I restore my iMac v.10.6.8 to new?

Hello, I have just purchased a 27” Imac OS X Maverick 10.9.3 for my son and we also have a Laptop Pro OSX Lion V. 7 and an Iphone 5 and I am on a Network via Airport Extreme and WiFi. I would like to restore my iMac 10.6.8 to new. How can this be done (I have 2 disks this came with) Also, if I do this will it mess up my other newer computers & Iphone. I just want to use this computer for me and the others for my son. I am signed on separately and would like to start fresh & clean out all of my son’s old stuff that is on here.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), using AirportXtreme
