Cannot post in Apple Forums

I cannot post in the forums. The system thinks I'm somebody else. And the name isn't even close.

Howdy Ian,

A Scalawag indeed (scallywag alternate spelling) - but just for the record the userName is " asfahan " - who must have been a villain of obvious nefariousness, judging by the brief tenure enjoyed back in late 2012 (see asfahan's 'Participated' for the only remaining vestige, besides the Profile page). Google [ asfahan site:discussions.apple.com ] for all the times it was actually spelled correctly - impressive as CyberTerrorism yet still - not so much if a mere SPAMmer.

tt2 has posited that this message was somehow used at one time in "testing" what an error under certain circumstances would be, and was forgotten in the mass of code... I do not subscribe to that theory. Mine is that it is the case that the JiveWare falsely detects a given user as being on the banned list, and when the script searches the list for the REAL username to insert into the message, it cannot find it (the state of NOT being banned?) so it picks the first in the alphaNumeric list. This could be tested by the developer team by merely hand editing the BannedList to insert " aaardvaark " (or whatever it takes to make it sort first)

A way to jump start this test of a known bug? REPORT THIS POST as a Bug Report Theory?

adios to you in Oz, from me at the Alamo

RE: The Alamo. Congressman Davy Crockett (Tennessee) upon losing re-election said, "Since you have decided to elect a man with a timber toe (peg leg), you may all go to HELLo, and I will go to TEXAS!"

Before The Alamo, there was the Battle of Goliad. Google it = VERY Bad Business, the 'Black Beans'

this is what i tried to post -Title Hidden files has caused me problems . At least I believe that to be so . My Mac has been rather slow so I set about deleting apps I didnt use plus associated files using App Cleaner. Everything seemed to be much better but then I decided i would find any hidden files by using the following process but i dont think i got it quite right..http://computers.tutsplus.com/tutorials/quick-tip-revealing-hidden-files-in-os-x --mac-48663 In any case I deleted the files and now my computer is very much slower than it was, sometimes requiring 3 or 4 reloads to load a page .I then tried to use Tinker Tool maintenance "Clear Memory Cache " but got the following mesage- "A required component of OS X is missing in your system installation Please verify that the UNIX program discoveryutil is present at its standard path '/usr/sbin/discoveryutil'. Note: The problem was detected while working with the file system object “/usr/sbin/discoveryutil”. That means absolutely nothing to me so I was wondering if someone could advise me as i am at my wits end. Thanks

On the Welcome page, link below. it has all the categories. Tap any of the icons and you get the sub-categories. The hosts can move your post to anyone you would like. I'm usually in the iPad Forum so I don't know if the best place for your question would be in a Mac Forum or a opperating system Forum. Probably either one would work. Just let me know and I'll put in the request.
