Just received a new airport - Model A1470

When trying to run setup it is asking me for the old AirPort base station password.... I tried to find it in my keychain with no luck? Any ideas?

You are doing the setup wrongly..

Start over with a fresh clean setup.. remove the old base station and start over..

It is not going to work right substituting and you are better with new names and new passwords.. this time write them down in a log book.

You are correct.... however I have another problem.... I don't have the current airport utility.... I have 5.5.3, when I run software update it says I am current with all updates?

my iMac is running OS X 10.9.4

What is the version of Airport Utility when you run it?

You may want to keep older versions of Airport Utility if you have older Airport devices. For example if you have a b/g Express, the newer versions do not support it. If you upgraded from an older OS X version, older versions are left intact (like 5.6.1), but they cannot be reinstalled after the OS upgrade.
