transfer paid app from iPad to iPhone

A strange thing:

I bought an app which is for iPhone and iPad.

And I used it on both. I had my iPhone changed and that app did not transfer.

When I go with my iPhone to the app store, it says $ 1.99

I use the same computer,( MBP) to sync both, but the app shows up when connected with the ipad, but when I connect the iPhone, the app does not show up.

I connect both but there is no sync of that app.

What will I do to get that app into my iPhone (5)

iPad, iOS 7.0.4, 64 GB

It appears that particular App has 2 separate versions. One for iPhone and one for iPad. If you bought the iPad version, then that's all you got. The developer has set this app to require a separate purchase for each device.

Hiragana Bubbles for iPhone

Hiragana Bubbes for iPad

They appear to have different version numbers even. 7.1 for iPhone and 7.2 for iPad.

You should contact the developer to sort this out.

An app that you purchase under a single Apple ID will be available for any device that it is compatible with, so that is true.

Go to the iTunes Store and click on the Apps tab. Then, on the right under Quick Links click on Purchased. Once the Purchased screens come up, click on the Apps tab and then on the iPhone tab. See if it shows up on the list with a little cloud in the icon. If it does, click on the tab to download it for the iPhone, then sync the phone, and install the app by clicking the "Install" button.

If you do not see the App listed in under the Apps tab when do the process above, then I would suggest you might want to contact the developer or iTunes support. The app indicates that it is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, and it should be showing up in iTunes under the App Tab with the button to the right saying "Install" if it has been downloaded for that device from iCloud.

Just checked in both iGadgets. There are two versions of the thing: Hiragana Bubbles and Hiragana Bubbles HD. First is universal whereas the second is iPad-only. The developer may want to keep them separate and priced independently.

As for mobility, how many iOS devices do you have active on your AppleID? IIRC, there is a limit to how many different devices an app may be downloaded to and somehow the number 4 keeps popping up.
