Apple Tv Problem

Hi everyone, last month I bought an Apple Tv and my second MacBook Pro 13"(Not Retina) for my home. Using the Apple Tv I have notice that when I duplicate the main screen with the apple Tv in my HDTV doesn't fit completely. It is normal? I have a 50" Sony Full HD 3D Tv and it only use approximately 47"
