Q: Cannot restore to new phone

I backed up my old iPhone 4 with iTunes and for some reason the encrypted box was checked, don't recall checking box. Now that I want to restore to my new iPhone 5C I do not have a password to complete the process HELP

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.1

There is no help if you cannot remember the password.
For encrypted backup, you need a password to restore, you can still do backups but to restore you need the password.
This is how encrypted backup works.

The only choice if you forget, is restore as new.
