Aug 27, 2014 8:51 AM in response to Severus Blackby a brody,I doubt the Boot Camp volume will work for installation as it needs to be GUID HFS Extended to install 10.9 and successfully boot. But read the tip in my prior post before installing 10.9 on your system or 10.7 or later.

Sep 3, 2014 5:10 AM in response to Severus Blackby a brody,Number 1: unless you verify that you aren't using software that predates 2007, you may not be able to use it at all on Mac OS X 10.7 or later.
Number 2: if you are using older software, keeping 10.6.8 on a separate partition, or in virtualization on Parallels is recommended, until you know you can get all compatible software with 10.9.
Number 3: User tested software with 10.9 is here - http://www.roaringapps.com/
Number 4: Apple's listing of compatible printers and scanners
and Apple supplied updates for printers and scanners:
HP, Ricoh, Canon, Epson, Brother,Lexmark, Samsung, and Fuji/Xerox
will help you decide if you have peripherals that are compatible.
Number 5: OS X Mavericks: Supported digital camera RAW formats tells you if your data from your digital camera is compatible.
Number 6: It is important to backup your data prior to any installation -
