audiounit bypass glitch

Hello, everybody. I'm writing a CoreAudio AU plug-in using ProcessBufferLists( ) render function and it performs as expected, except for one thing, which has to do with interaction with LogicPro. When "bypass" control is pressed either way, a level discontinuity glitch can be heard if there is a level discontinuity between processed and unprocessed audio. I'd like to know is there a way to mitigate this effect? Does it have to do with the SupportsTail() property, and if so, are there any good examples of how such a "tail function" should or could look like?
